I Forgot

Nancy Le of Marion, North Carolina writes:

"I read this comic the other day and it got me thinking about how penguins really live in Antarctica, and how people keep saying that global warming is causing stuff to melt. On the other hand, the President is saying this is not a problem."

Thanks for writing, Nancy! There is quite a debate over whether or not global warming is or is not caused by human activity; however, both the increase in greenhouse gases and the change in temperatures is quite real. The penguin, in fact, experienced this first hand recently when part of a glacier that was home to his family broke off and melted into the sea, such as the one below:

The penguin received the news and immediately flew his relatives to the United States to live with him. It was quite a reunion.

Unfortunately, the penguin's relatives were, of course, not U.S. citizens, and after a few days word got around that the penguin was harboring illegal aliens. The authorities were alerted and the law was swiftly and strictly enforced.

There was much local debate as many decried the separation of families, while others insisted upon adding a new resolution to current immigration laws to build a barrier around Antarctica to keep illegals out.

The penguin officially has no comment as to whether he is or is not involved in operations harboring illegal immigrants.
